After entering Alaska, we continued on to Chicken then Rt 5 to Rt 2 and Tok where we rejoin the Alaska Highway and continue to its end at Delta Junction. From there, we continue to Fairbanks, Denali and on to Anchorage.

We took the sternwheeler Riverboat Discovery on the Chena and Tanana Rivers out of Fairbanks. We saw Susan Butcher's Iditarod champion sled dogs in action and visited a Chena Indian Village.

We descended from Polychrome to Teklanika River and walked its bed downstream toward bridge.
