It was still cold and rainy after the 23 mile
run from Butedale to Bishop Bay. Two other boats were on the dock when we
tied up at 10:00. Casey rafted with us to conserve dock space. We had been
told to expect heavy use. A short boardwalk ran under dripping trees from
the top of the dock to the spring. How shall we do this? I could think of
three options - swim suit under clothes and towel, swim suit and towel or
just a towel. Awkward to simple. Naturally, we chose awkward – some
didn’t. The hot spring was delightful.
