Miles 278 to 283

We had the dock and the facilities at Holley to ourselves.  The liftmaster, if there is such a word, came out to tell us the sights to see.  We walked through town and down by the waterfall - great place for a picnic.

A visitor, attracted by the boat, invited us for the outing described below.

Joe, the man pictured below, came up to Wanderer and introduced himself.  He said, "I saw your boat as I went across the bridge and said to myself, 'The people traveling on such an interesting boat must be worth meeting.' "  He invited us to visit his wife's 1200 acre orchard.  He gave us a great tour of the Hurd Orchards.

Holley was as far west as we went.
