About 15 miles west, along route US 1, we visit Bahia Honda State Park.  Part of the park enjoys a refurbished section of the old bridge.  You can walk out along it and see where the old span was removed to allow boats to reach the curved beach shown below.

There are picnic pavilions along the several miles of Atlantic Beaches. 

Tent and RV camping occupy portions of the Gulf Coast side.

The first image is taken from the Boot Key Bridge, with the harbor in the background. The next 5 images were shot from a short span of the old Bahia Honda Bridge, now part of the park.
