After a pleasant motor sail, where the main
challenge is to miss the floats for crab and lobster pots, we drop the hook off Ft.
Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas at 15:45. Anchored nearby are four other
sailboats and maybe 6 fishing boats. The sunset is spectacular and the
evening quiet.
We are invited ashore for a 19:00 digital slide
presentation entitled: Coastal Fortifications. The ranger was
enthusiastic and the show interesting.
